About BIM

Governance

BIM (Bord Iascaigh Mhara) is a State agency established under the Sea Fisheries Act 1952, operating under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. This page is a placeholder during the website redevelopment — final content will be provided by BIM ahead of launch.

The Board

The Board of BIM is appointed by the Minister and meets at least eight times per year. Member biographies and meeting minutes are published here once the production CMS is live.

Executive team

Day-to-day operations are led by the Chief Executive Officer and the senior management team across Aquaculture, Fisheries, Innovation, and Corporate Services.
