How fast is bim.ie?

We run Lighthouse CI on every deploy and publish the results here. Scores are measured on a mobile profile with emulated network throttling — the hardest meaningful test of real-world page performance.

Headline scores

97/100

Minimum Lighthouse Performance score
across all sampled page templates.

100/100

Minimum Lighthouse Accessibility score
across all sampled page templates.

Homepage Performance improved from 91 to 98/100 over 12 weeks of optimisation

Latest Lighthouse scores — week of 2026-05-10

Four page templates are sampled each week: the Homepage, Funding Finder list, Funding Scheme detail, and Training Catalogue list. Each score is the median of three Lighthouse runs to reduce noise from emulated throttling variance.

Lighthouse mobile scores for key page templates — most recent sample (2026-05-10). Scores are 0–100; 95+ is excellent, 80–94 is good, below 80 needs improvement.
Page Performance Accessibility Best Practices SEO
Homepage 98 100 100 100
Funding Finder list 97 100 100 100
Funding Scheme detail 97 100 100 100
Training Catalogue list 97 100 100 100

Scores: 95+ = excellent · 80–94 = good · <80 = needs improvement

How we measure

  • Tool: Lighthouse CI (LHCI) running in GitHub Actions on every push to main.
  • Device profile: Emulated Motorola G4 (mobile) — 1x CPU throttle, 150ms RTT, 1.6 Mbps download, 750 Kbps upload.
  • Sampling: Three runs per page; the median score is recorded. Results stored as LHCI JSON artefacts and ingested to this dashboard weekly.
  • Budget gates: The CI build fails if any sampled page scores below 95/100 on Performance, 95/100 on Accessibility, or falls outside the per-template transfer-size budget (see sustainability dashboard).
  • Scope: Lighthouse scores HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts — the full page weight as delivered to a cold-cache browser. Server response time (TTFB) is excluded from the emulated profile but monitored separately.

Real-user monitoring (RUM)

In Phase 3, this section will display live Core Web Vitals aggregates from the self-hosted Plausible analytics instance — LCP, CLS, and FID/INP segmented by page template and device type. The data feed is production-only and requires a live deployment with real visitor traffic.

RUM data — coming in Phase 3

Plausible self-hosted Core Web Vitals aggregate will appear here once the production site is live and accumulating real-user data. The Lighthouse CI scores above are the primary quality gate until then.

Data last refreshed: 2026-05-10 · Updated weekly from Lighthouse CI GitHub Actions artefacts. See the sustainability dashboard for carbon metrics.
